Iain Lawson & Alrick Robinson
Wembley
"Customers get a personal touch — we're invested in doing right by the people we work for."
A fresh take on franchising, built as a family
Cousins Iain Lawson and Alrick Robinson launched Pacifica Local Wembley in July 2026, joining forces to build a business with greater earning potential and a better work-life balance. While Iain had already begun developing his appliance repair skills, Alrick brought 13 years of experience as a caretaker alongside a varied background in self-employment.
Having previously run a cleaning franchise, as well as his own waste collection and cleaning businesses, Alrick already understood the realities of business ownership. His previous franchise experience had left him cautious about taking the same route again — but Pacifica Local stood out for its transparency, practical training, and level of support.
Starting with no appliance repair background himself, Alrick found the hands-on training particularly valuable in building technical knowledge and confidence. Now the cousins are focused on growing Pacifica Local Wembley together, with ambitions to build a team and create opportunities for young people to develop careers within the industry.

Twice the drive, twice the ambition
For Iain and Alrick, launching together wasn't just about sharing the workload — it was about combining complementary skills to build something stronger. Iain's technical foundation and local roots in Wembley, paired with Alrick's first-hand understanding of what running a business actually looks like, gave them a head start that neither would have had alone.
"Wembley is home for me, so it made complete sense to set up here. I want to be a familiar face people can rely on, right in the heart of the area."
"We don't treat where we work as just another postcode on a map. We know this community and that makes a real difference to how we show up for customers."
Two routes, one shared ambition
Different backgrounds, complementary skills — and a shared belief that they could build something better together than either could alone.
Iain Builds His Technical Foundation
Iain began developing his appliance repair skills ahead of launching, building the technical grounding needed to deliver high-quality work from day one. As a Wembley local, he knew the community he wanted to serve — and was determined to become a familiar, trusted presence in it.
Alrick's Business Background
Alrick spent 13 years as a caretaker while also running his own businesses — including waste collection, cleaning, and a previous cleaning franchise. He understood profit margins, customer relationships, and the hard work behind self-employment. A cautious outlook on franchising changed when Pacifica Local's transparency and support stood apart.
Launched Pacifica Local Wembley
In July 2026, Iain and Alrick launched together — combining technical skill with business experience to build Wembley's most trusted appliance repair team. With Pacifica Local behind them, they're growing fast and already planning what comes next.
Building together, growing quickly
Since launching Pacifica Local Wembley in July 2026, Iain and Alrick have established a business built on local trust, shared ambition, and a clear plan for expansion.
Partnership That Works
Combining Iain's technical skills with Alrick's business experience gives Pacifica Local Wembley a well-rounded foundation — each partner bringing strengths the other builds on.
Rooted in Wembley
As locals, Iain and Alrick serve a community they genuinely know — building customer relationships that go beyond a single callout and earning a reputation for personal, reliable service.
Expansion Plans in Place
With Wembley as their launchpad, the cousins have clear ambitions to expand into South London — growing their territory and their team as demand increases.
Creating Opportunities
Committed to giving back, Iain and Alrick plan to recruit and train the next generation of engineers — creating real career paths for young people in their community.
Two partners, one shared mission
Iain and Alrick run Pacifica Local Wembley as a genuine partnership — out in the field together, serving homeowners and local residents across Wembley with repairs, maintenance, and installations on a wide range of domestic appliances.
What sets their day-to-day apart is the combination of technical ability and business-minded thinking. Iain brings the hands-on repair expertise; Alrick brings the operational experience of someone who has run businesses before and knows what it takes to keep customers coming back.
They're also on a mission to educate — actively helping customers understand what's worth fixing, what's not, and what the common myths around appliance problems are actually costing households. It's a personal approach that earns trust and keeps the phone ringing.
"Customers get a personal touch that way — we're invested in doing right by the people we work for."
Transparency that made the difference
Alrick's previous franchise experience made him cautious — but Pacifica Local's openness, practical training, and ongoing support changed his mind entirely. For Alrick in particular, having experienced engineers and managers readily available made the step from the classroom to live customer jobs far less daunting.
Transparent Franchise Model
Unlike previous franchise experiences, Pacifica Local's openness about how the model works — costs, expectations, and support — gave Alrick the confidence to commit. No hidden surprises.
City & Guilds Assured Training
Hands-on, accredited training that built both cousins' technical knowledge and confidence. A practical programme designed to prepare partners for real jobs, not just classroom knowledge — covering everything needed to get out on the road and deliver from day one.
Expert Access On the Road
Moving from training to live customer jobs is a big step. Having experienced engineers and managers readily available for advice gave both partners the reassurance to get out on the road and keep learning with confidence.
Day-One Work Allocation
Work from Pacifica's appliance brand partners from the moment of launch — providing immediate cash flow and a platform to build a customer base quickly in a new territory.
Room to Grow
With territory expansion into South London already on the horizon, Pacifica Local's framework supports the cousins' ambitions — giving them a structure to scale into without starting from scratch each time.
Partner Network
A community of like-minded franchise partners across the UK means Iain and Alrick are never facing challenges in isolation — shared experience and practical peer support come as standard.
"My previous franchise experience had left me cautious — but Pacifica Local stood out for its transparency, practical training, and the level of support on offer. It felt completely different from what I'd experienced before."
Do your research, ask the hard questions, and look for a franchise that's genuinely transparent about how it works. For us, having someone to do this with made a big difference — but the most important thing is finding a model you can trust and then backing yourself to make it work.
