About

A lifetime of hands-on experience, now his own business

Mark Linsey launched Pacifica Local Oxford in July 2023, having previously worked within Pacifica before taking the step into full business ownership. He brings a highly diverse and practical career background – from working as a car mechanic to roles including warehouse supervisor, HGV driver, transport manager, and ADR dangerous goods driver.

More recently, his experience as a commercial refrigeration and appliance engineer gave him direct technical expertise, providing a solid foundation for his transition into running his own appliance repair business. Having already worked within Pacifica, Mark had firsthand insight into the strength of the model – including the consistent flow of work and access to expert guidance whenever needed.

Having lived in Oxford his entire life, Mark is deeply connected to the local community and takes pride in serving customers in the area he knows so well. Now focused on growing his business further, he is actively recruiting and training new engineers to meet increasing demand across Oxford.

Why This Franchise

Low risk, high confidence – with a model he already knew

For Mark, the decision to become a Pacifica Local franchise partner was driven by the opportunity to start a business with minimal outlay and reduced risk, while benefiting from the backing of an experienced and supportive organisation. Mark values the balance of independence and support – recognising that while he runs his own business, there is always expert advice available when needed. That combination of autonomy and a reliable safety net has given him the confidence to push further and grow faster than he would have done alone.

"It was a low-risk route into business ownership, as I had the backing of an impressive national brand. I still run my business independently, but now I've got mentors and a wider network behind me whenever I need support. That reassurance makes a huge difference."
