About

From delivery driver to franchise owner

Musthaq Badurdeen is the owner of Pacifica Local Coventry, having launched his business in January 2024 after joining Pacifica as an engineer in 2021. Prior to entering the industry, he worked in Amazon deliveries and initially planned to train as an electrician.

When those plans were disrupted during COVID, he chose to pursue a new direction and entered the appliance repair sector with no prior experience. Stepping into franchise ownership was a natural progression – having experienced the structure, training, and day-one work allocation firsthand, Musthaq recognised the opportunity to build a business of his own with reduced risk.

Since launching, he has gained a consistent flow of locally generated leads, allowing him to grow his customer base across Coventry.

Day-to-Day

Running his own business, his own way

Musthaq operates as a sole business owner across Coventry, managing customer jobs from start to finish. Each day brings a combination of technical challenges and the satisfaction of building something that is entirely his own.

The biggest shift since becoming a franchise partner has been control – over his time, his income, and his future. Alongside that freedom, Musthaq has embraced the accountability that comes with running your own business.

He combines a steady workflow – head office allocations alongside his own locally generated jobs – with the independence of setting his own agenda.

"Your income is linked to the effort you put in. You can earn as much as you're willing to work for – having self-motivation is a key part of being a franchise partner."
